Good afternoon all! Next Monday on Sept 29 is the day that CHILI'S donates all of their profits for the day to St. Jude!! If you're able to make it out to a Chili's for lunch or dinner that would be great! I know there will be a group of us at the Chili's in Lakeland on Harden Bl if anyone wants to join us. I mean, you have to eat dinner.... right? :) Might as well eat and have it benefit kids in need to, eh?! If you're local keep the date of Nov. 15 in the evening open. We'll be having our benefit show that evening for St. Jude to get our team in the top group of fundraisers. Christal's Crew is stoked and ready for this event. Hi all! We had a pretty successful car wash for Christal's Crew today in Lakeland. It was really alot of fun! At one point we had 8 kids between the ages of 5-11 + Kylie, 3yrs old... and a few adults washing cars. It was MAD! Oh yea and all 8 of those kids were GIRLS! Classmates of Christal's and their friends/family. Pretty neat. The Garrard girls were there... Elizabeth, Christal's best friend, and sisters Abagail and Sara Grace... I told Abagail, that is was really pretty great that at such a young age they were willing to give time for kids that weren't as fortunate as they were. Abagail even said to me at one point that they, "knew someone that was cured of the same cancer as Christal had.." isn't that sad that a 9 year old would have to be saying that about a friend that was their same age? Ugh. Funny part was that everyone had to leave and so it was Drew, Me, Todd, and my friend Beth... and we had the biggest rush of the DAY... I must say, we totally ROCK! We had 5 cars there and I think in that short period where it was just us, we washed 7 cars. Mom and my friend, Nancy, were doing their jobs at the street with the signs I guess. Kylie was sitting nicely on the sidewalk by us... which was a GREAT thing! When that was all over Mom and Nancy came back to tell us the "quote for the day".... a rather not so good looking older man on a bike said to the two of them, "Well, if you had better looking women out here with the signs you'd get more cars to wash..." Which we all howled over. All in all, I was really proud of all those kiddos... and Kylie-girl was SUCH a good girl.... and totally charmed the customers. :) Ok... have to get ready for my chorus show that is tomorrow. Hello all! I know I didn't post on the date of Christal's Angelversary which was September 10, but I know many of you were thinking of her. Thank you for the emails. When you say the words, "It has been 2 years..." the first thing I think is, DANG TWO YEARS!?!?!? In some ways it seems like she was just here... and in others it seems like its been even longer. Kylie goes through phases of talking about her more... which is nice. We still get in the car sometimes and she'll say, "I want Sissy!" Which means she wants to listen to her on the CD. Ok... I was just on a quick break and wanted to let everyone know we're around! Christal's Crew is in full swing getting ready for the St. Jude Marathon in Memphis, TN in December. We'll be having a benefit show on Nov. 15... details coming! Love to all, Chris

It's that time again... ST. JUDE MARATHON TIME!!! I'll be posting a link soon so if anyone wants to make a donation to Christal's Crew you'll be able to do that directly to our site. This is a tax deductible donation too. I also got the old bracelet stuff out again. I've premade about 100 bracelets that will be available for a donation of $10 (or more) for St. Jude too. I'll also post the colors that are available. None of the materials are plastic like last time... all are glass beads and metal spacers. Good quality stuff. We've got dark blue, light blue, purple, green, a few red, black/white, black/pink, some tri colored blue/purple/turquoise... all really beautiful. I can't remember all the colors right off the top of my head. I don't have a computer available to transfer any digital pics to right now, so I'll see what we can do to get a few pics posted of the choices. I know the economy really is bad right now, but know that we appreciate every dollar you're able to give. On a side note... one week from today is our sweet Christal's 2 year Angel-versary. It's so unbelievable that she's been away from us for 2 years.... hard to even imagine. Keep us in your prayers.... love to all of you!
